Ridiculous Road Trip #2, Day 4-11 Ocracoke

 April 3-6

We started before dawn to drive south and got to watch the sun rise over the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

And then Ora got her sea-legs (sea-wheels?) on her first ferry raise from Hatteras to Ocracoke Island.

And on Ocracoke, we made our way to Anne and Andrew’s sweet cottage, where we joined the rest of the Beckers and Trottis! There we shared lots of music, games, fun in the sand and waves, cuddles with my favorite kiddos, and tasty tasty food! Nephew B even got to join Anne on he radio show, sharing awesome chicken facts!

April 7-10
And then a gale blew in! Lorne and the Trotti family caught a ferry off Ocracoke to beat the winds and rains.

Doug and I decided to weather the storm, nestled in next to Andrew and Anne’s cottage. The brothers played nearly endless board games while Anne and I watched movies and read. And we listened to the wind and rain for a few days. And were entertained by the antics of the pets. It was lovely.
